Micro-Tour 2 began early on May 12th 2018, with an earl visit to the shop for final preparation. We were using a new meeting spot in Manhattan instead of the shop to get the trip going more smoothly.
The weather looked a bit shaky in terms of rain and temperature, but 24 of us shoved off and headed north.
The group formed up and rode north on Manhattan's Hudson Riover Greenway, stopping first at the Boat Basin to pick up a few riders, then onto The Bronx's Van Cortland Park to regoup before the big wet push north
The group the headed north in and out of rain on the South County Trailway that runs north through Westchester County
The group next stopped in Elmsford NY for Lunch
The group arrived in a few waves around 2pm at the campsites at Croton Point Park. Since there was still rain lingering, people set about to get their tents setup and a campfire started.
Where the trips shines is always on the culinary side.
We started a new traidion on this trip, awarding a Safety Pizza to the rider that most embodies the spirit of the Micro-Tour
