A few weeks ago, we received a call from Amy, looking for a 47cm Rivendell Roadini frame in Grilver. Luckily we had one, and we sold it to her over the phone with the idea that we would ship the frame to her in Seattle.
The big design idea what that Amy wanted a wide range triple crankset, in addition to integrated shifters.
“Road Triples” generally send us down the Shimano Tiagra path. However, because of the wide range triple (difference between big ring and small ring is 22 teeth) that Amy specified, we assumed that we had to get a non-Tiargra. After alot of testing, we determined that the Shimano Tiagra 4700 Groupset was going to satisfy her requirements for gearing on the bike.
