Evasion Frameset, $875
The Evasion frame is designed around 26+ (26" x3.0") tires on 45mm rims, for when you want to take those roads less traveled (which may or may-not really be roads.) But It's just as happy on a 650b tire (27.5") up to x 2.5.
This bike is designed for dirt touring/ bike packing and all round getting loose!
It's a randonneur bike on steroids, "The Satanic Rando" if you will. Comfortable for the long haul, but fast and nimble, while still being ready for some pretty technical/rough riding; if that's what the route throws your way.
Its got rack mounts and water bottle bosses just were you would expect them and a nice long head tube, to get you in a comfy spot, for long days in the saddle, without a Fugly tower of spacers.
The dropouts are Paragon rip offs. so you will be able to run thru axle rear, skewer, geared, single speed or a Rolloff.
Scapegoat Frameset, $825
Twelve years in the making -- the ScapeGoat has been refined in the high mountains all over the world. It’s a LOW Q-Factor, go-anywhere, fit any tyre, bike-packing miracle. Which may be the funnest and most adaptable bike on the planet. The tight rear end and longish top tube means it shreds equally well on an afternoon jaunt or multi year exploratory. Unlike most other fat bike out there (Although this is not just a fat bike.) -- it sports a 73mm Bottom Bracket shell, which allows a comfortable 170mm Q-Factor, your knees will thank you.
The frame is 4130 double butted cromoly to withstand years of abuse, and (if necessary) for (relatively) easy field-repairability. It’s got good looks and plenty of frame bag space, thanks to the non-suspension-corrected fork *, and triple cage mounts anywhere you might want them. The sliding rocker dropouts mean you can run just about any fat-ish setup you might want : 26x4” Fat-Bike (up to 80mm rims**), 650b/27.5+and 29+, as well as regular 29er. You can even run standard 27.5 or 26" if you get in a jam.
Fork and Frame are 135mm spaced with zero-offset disk caliper tabs, so front and rear wheels are interchangeable.
Romanceür Frameset, $1250
The Romanceür frame has a standard 1" threaded steerer, meant for quill stems.
All sizes have level top tubes. Bottom bracket height, standover clearance, and trail are all calculated with a 340mm (13.4") radius tire.
The Romanceür was designed to have generous clearance for fenders around 26 x 2.3" tires. 650b x 48 tires with fenders should fit equally well, and even larger tires will fit fine without fenders.
