Bike Club

Bike Club is an immersive way to get involved with 718 Cyclery.  Doors open at 7:30am every Saturday for free coffee, home-made muffins and some great acoustic jams (just kidding on the jams). Sneak out of the house early to ask our staff that nagging question, throw your bike up in the stand for some free advice, or ask us about getting set up for our next trip/tour.  Think of it as open-office hours.

Sign Up Here

At 9:15, the Club will spin up to Prospect Park with a 718 Employee for a great ride around the park (weather permitting).  This is no-drop rides at a conversation pace, intended to foster community rather than fuel aggression. Helmets are required.

We do need you to sign up, so that we know how many muffins to bake.

Bike Club is:

  • Inclusive
  • Accessible
  • Informative
  • Tasty
  • Free

Bike Club is not:

  • Aggressive

Transportation Alternatives Winter Cycling Event

718 Cyclery in Gowanus is dear to our hearts. For the past few years 718 has been an asset to the cycling community. From shop rides to races to classes 718 has gone above and beyond what we expect from a local bike shop. But a bike is only as enjoyable as the road or trail you  ride it on.

That’s why 718 Cyclery is collaborating with us on our new Bike Shop Membership Partner program. As a proud supporter of Transportation Alternatives and safe streets, 718 Cyclery will now be offering a free year of TransAlt membership with every bicycle purchased. Awesome!

To celebrate, we’re having an event on Wednesday, November 16th at 7 pm. We’ll have Brooklyn Brewery beer, snacks, and a presentation on winter cycling and "#bikenyc in 2016. To sweeten the pot, anyone who joins as a TransAlt member at the event will be entered into raffle to win a Blaze Laser Light.

Please RSVP here for the event, as space is limited.
